Feature Friday Black Cotton Apparel + Giveaway

Welcome to Feature Friday. I have something special for the fashion forward natural beauty. The company was generous enough to send over a shirt for one lucky reader. Ready to let your natural beauty shine from the roots?

More about: Black Cotton Apparel

Black Cotton Apparel is a producer of classic urban wear with progressive concepts. Our medium of choice is cotton. Our designs are inspired by our past with a fusion of contemporary artistic ideas. Black Cotton Apparel is inspirational, innovative, and provocative.

Starting in 1998, two T-shirts were made to represent a small island nation called Haiti. At the time, Haiti's global image was unstable to say the least. Nevertheless, we wanted to represent the indestructible spirit of our people with the highest level of respect. We started in a small town and grew in popularity fast. In the process of selling our tees at different events, the people spoke and we listened. People who weren't from Haiti would ask: “Where’s my island?” And soon enough, people who had no ties to the West Indies were demanding equal representation of their roots on our gear. Then one day it all made sense. The link between Africa, Caribbean and African-Americans became more than evident. With that simple idea, Black Cotton Apparel was born
