netTalk Duo WiFi Review and Giveaway
Sponsored by netTalk

We recently got the chance to review the netTalk Duo WiFi voice over ip telephone service. To be honest we are not much of techies, and weren't sure exactly what to expect. We had not heard of netTalk or this product before this review. I was a little worried that something would not go right do more so to operator error than anything.
The set up for this product was pretty easy. I read the directions that accompanied the product, and as well used the diagram located on the website (http://www.nettalk.com/duowifi;). The set consisted of first plugging the netTalk Duo WiFi device into my ethernet cable. Secondly I the phone cord into the duo device. I then connected the USB cable from the AC adapter to the duo device, and then I put the phone cord into the phone ( phone wasn't included). The last thing I did was plus the device into the outlet.
At first the light that is on the netTalk Duo WiFi device did not turn green. I started to worry a little as I thought perhaps I did not connect everything as I should have. After rechecking my connections, I waited thinking maybe it had to register itself in some way ( the novice techie at work..lol). Finally about 5 minutes later I decided to unplug the device from the outlet and plug it back in. Then my green light came on. I immediately placed a test call to my cell phone to make sure it was working.
I wouldn't call the set up difficult, but I can not speak for everyone else experience as we are all using the same routers, or internet service provides so the set up may very. The overall experience using the device has been excellent. I have not experienced any dropped calls ( this can in large part be contributed to your service provider). The voice quality compatible to my home phone is great, you wont notice a difference.
The netTalk Duo WiFi is currently available at Target and other retails.

Probably would have to be one of my siblings calling to tell me a story about something their children did. Kids (especially the little ones) can do some funny stuff, LOL.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine called yesterday and told me about a new thing on the market, it's a (non-alcoholic) beer for dogs called Brew and apparently one of their "beers" is called "I don't give a Shih Tzu" Lol
