ReplyDeletea prepaid card would be excellent for older kids - they could spend without carrying cash, and be limited to the specific amount loaded on the card.
ReplyDeleteI would use the prepaid card to buy groceries-each month a set amount would be added to the card and when it's gone then no more groceries until next month or next time money is loaded onto the card.

I have five dogs, so we go through a lot of dog food. This would be enough to buy a bag of their food, which would leave more money in my regular grocery/household budget for other things.

ReplyDeletei have to clean up my credit act, prepaid cards would definitely help by maintaining a strict limit on what I can spend, budget- definitely no out of control instant gratification purchases
