Blush on the face is very essential to achieve a fresh look. A light application of blush can bring brightness and life to your pale face. Whether you are going out for a walk or for a special date, having blush on your face can help you achieve a dramatic look. Putting on blush also takes practice and skill because applying it in a wrong manner can yield bad results for your overall make-up appearance. You don’t want to be looking like clowns now do you? It is advisable to use light shades of blush for day use while you stick with the darker tones for night time.



You can find blush available in powder, liquid, gel, or cream form. Powder blush is appropriate for almost all types of skin. You can also opt to use a mixture of powder or cream together especially for those with a mixed skin type. Cream blush is great for dry skin and if you have oily skin gel blush would be most suited for you.



In applying make-up, blush is always the last one that you put on. The blush would be the last aspect that would cap off your make-up to achieve a balanced look.



In applying blush use a large round brush and locate the apple of your cheeks by smiling as you apply it. Always clean your brush to prevent bacteria from accumulating on it that may cause allergies or skin related problems.

MAC Blush Powder - Buff

I am going to start out with MAC Buff.  This is one of those colors that you don't hear a lot about on youtube but its a beautiful pinky beige shade and its one of my favorites.  Its a matte, and its a very pretty, just really gorgeous nudy pink color.  That is what I am wearing on my cheeks today.  Its like the perfect, I don't know, beigey pink, honestly this is a great blush but you never hear about it.  I think the only person who I have heard talk about it is Cassie.  This was in her top MAC picks.  This is the only person I have heard talk about this color, it is a beautiful color.

MAC Mineralize Blush - Warm Soul

The next shade is one of my all time favorites MAC blushes, if not my favorite blush of all time - Warm Soul.  Absolutely beautiful.  A total must have for anybody.  This is going to look great and fabulous on all skin tones.  This one has a shimmer, its a little bit peachier.  That is Warm Soul, I just love, love that blush so much.

MAC Cremeblend Blush Tease Your Tastes

This next one is limited but i will tell you a dupe for this blush.  Its from MAC, its a cream blush and its called Brit Wit.  Its almost a dead match for this one.  This one is called Tease your Taste and this was from a limited collection.  I don't remember what collection it is because the come out with 1000 different ones each year. with beautiful rosy beige color.  I have to wipe off my fingers.  Oh so pretty.  Honestly it reminds me of Vivaglam 5 - your cheeks but better, you lips but better.  It blends really nicely, it adds like the perfect color to your cheeks. This one is great.  If you can't get it or can't find it then Brit Wit is the way to go.

NARS Blush - Madly

We are moving on to other blushes.  Lets move on to NARS.  This is an easy pick for me.  This is Madly.  It is a beautiful seashell pink it has a very slight shimmer and its gorgeous.  Its one of my favorite blushes from NARS.  I wear it a ton and its definitely up there with Pretty Nudes.  So that is madly from NARS.  This is one of those blushes that look better on your cheeks then when you swatch it.  When you swatch it you are like "What" but trust me it looks very pretty on the cheeks.

Burberry Beauty 'Light Glow' Natural Blush

The next shade I have been wearing on stop since I purchased it and you guys knew it was going to be in here and its Earthy from Burberry.  I don't know what it is but this blush, it looks like nothing in here in the compact but it is so beautiful on the cheeks.  I don't really need to go much into it because you've heard enough about it but its the perfect contour or the perfect blush sheen, it just adds that hint of color. Its so pretty, you will love it if you are fair to medium skin tone.  Somebody asks if this would show up on them if they were NC 40.  I don't know if it would.  It might not show up at all, so definitely try it if you guys have a Burberry counter at a Nordstrom or maybe at Saks.

Glo Minerals Blush - Bare

Along with that and along the same lines at the Burberry color is from Glo Minerals and its called Bare.  Its a beautiful cool toned color and I am wearing this on the backs of my cheeks today because I could not stand it - I love it so much.  You know what this reminds me of.  It reminds me of Cava, Bite Beauty's lipstick, but in a blush form.  Its a really pretty mauvy color, I love it.  So that is Bare from Glo Minerals.  I was going to say Bare Necessities because I have that Jungle Book song in my head.  I love that shade a lot and I am wearing it on the backs of my cheeks.  It creates a beautiful contour, and a really nice pop of color.  Its exactly like Burberry Earthy but a little bit less expensive and its one of those cameleon blushes that you can wear on the backs of your cheeks.

Hours Glass Mood Exposure

The next shade is from Hour Glass, and its my favorite one next to the Diffused Heat and its called Mood Exposure.  Its a beautiful rosy brown color.  I don't even want to say brown, there really isn't any brown when you swatch it.  Its just a beautiful nude blush.   Love it.  Its so pretty.  This is like to die for.  So I love that show.

Illamasqua's Nake Rose Powder Blusher Lover 0.14 oz

Along the same line is Illamasqua's Nake Rose, my favorite blush from Illamasqua.  Its my only one right now, because I have sold the rest of them.  I just wear this constantly.  It has really good color payoff, its super pigmented and its so pretty.  So pretty.  It will look gorgeous on you guys I am not even kidding.  Its stunning.  So that is Naked Rose a beautiful nude pigmented color.  I love that.

No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream, Normal / Dry, 1.6 fl oz

This one you can find at Target, yay... its easy, accessible, and its a beautiful nude shade.  This is from Boots No.7.  and this is called Honey, its a gorgeous nude color.  If you have even remotely probably medium skin you might not be able to see it because it does not swatch very well and really not that pigmented.  I feel like it applies better then when it does with your hand.  Its just a really light blush honestly so if you are super super fair you can go with something like this or you can't overdo it at all with this blush.  I really had a hard time picking because I have a lot of nudy pink blushes but I just felt they were almost too pink, so I really had a hard time narrowing these down.

Tarte Exposed

The last one, of course, is Tart Exposed.  I feel like this looks good on everybody.  I feel like everytime I wear it, it just looks really good with anything that I wear, so I had to include it even though its kind of a given.  That is Tart Exposed, I know you guys have seen it and heard of it before so there is no need for me cram it down you throats, because its beautiful.  Honest is a less intense version of the Amazing Pink Chocolate, if you can even tell there is the Expose and Pink Chocolate.  They are super similar.

Just gently rub the soap lather over your face and neck and rinse with lukewarm water.

3. Towel-dry your face – Be brisk and gentle. Gently pat your skin with the towel instead of roughly rubbing it all over your face. A towel rub also helps remove heaped-up dead cells and allows young cells to reach the surface. Your face may glow briefly from this free, do-it-yourself exfoliation.

4. Other skin care treatments – You will also be needing a combination of moisturizer and antioxidants that are found in products that contain vitamin C and E. These vitamins help repair skin damage and protects it from pollutants and ultraviolet rays. Depending on how serious your skin problems are — you should take time to consult a dermatologist. You should also try to use non-allergenic over-the-counter moisturizers that contain alpha hydroxy acids.

A moisturizer makes the face smoother and more healthy. Moisturizers are good in locking in the skin’s own moisture to prevent dryness.
